This is about my 1976 Ford Pinto I am slowly rebuilding it. I completed this car about 5 years ago and I am still driving it. I recently found all the pictures I thought I had lost. Pintos have some special needs like other cars. One of which is the floors are usually rusted out. I got this in very good shape, I think. Please comment and let me know what you think or if you see me make a mistake or have questions.

The pinto dashboard and steering wheel
This is the pinto dashboard and steering wheel before I began work on it. It is in excellent shape considering the car is about 36 years old. As you can see in the previous posts the car was relatively rust free. The carpet came out is pieces as it had gotten wet many times from a leaky windshield and and drivers side air vent.

ReplyDeleteThe Pinto was a much maligned car, but I drove mine 75,000 miles, up Pike's Peak, through the wilds of Canada, and non stop from Chicago to Jacksonville once. It was a decent little car.
ReplyDeleteThis one looks like it had AC, which couldn't help that 2,300cc engine's power output.
